Our Background

During the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago's visit to London on 29th November 2005, Mr Nigel Guy and Mr Ancil Barclay both expressed interest in making a contribution to the social and economic development of Trinidad and Tobago. The Honourable Patrick Manning requested that they put their ideas in writing to him via Her Excellency, High Commissioner Mrs Glenda Morean Phillip.This was communicated via Her Excellency, High Commissioner Mrs Glenda Morean Phillip and Mr Ashton Ford (High Commission, Public Affairs, Culture and Tourism Attaché)

Her Excellency, Mrs Glenda Morean Phillip and Mr Ashton Ford facilitated a fact finding mission at which Mr Nigel Guy and Mr Ancil Barclay conducted meetings with key stakeholders from a number of principle ministries in Trinidad and Tobago including:

  • The Ministry of Public Administration
  • The Ministry of Tourism
  • The Ministry of Education
  • The Ministry of National Security
  • The Ministry of Planning and Development
  • All of whom expressed interest in the TTPNUK initiatives and are keen to foster a positive working relationship.

TTPNuk  was then officially launched  in May 2006 with an elected 13 member Board and Executive team to manage the day to day running of the organisation.
